Just been able to finally get my x980t to link with GPRS and I have been able to get weather information.

I just wondered how the quick destination works as it just connects and doesn't do anything, I have loads of saved addresses on the website and I just assumed it was going to bring up that list.

Has anyone figured out how this works and what I may need to do?

It's designed to let you find a destination on the internet before you set off.

Go to the ViaMichelin Map and enter the address of your destination. The destination is shown on the Map with a speeh bubble.

Click on Send this address: to GPS

Click on the 'Via Quick Destination' icon.

Then switch on the SatNav and connect via GPRS. Click on the Quick Destination option. It downloads the destination you just created.

It's not very useful since the SatNav is better for finding addresses but the internet is a better map. As far as I can tell, it only lets you do one at a time but it could be handy if you are in a hurry.

Using the 'Add to My ViaMichelin' option is better because routes can be done here as well as destinations and they are saved for future use. Quick Destinations are not saved. After adding to My ViaMichelin go to the My Favourites page on the website and put a check in all the destinations and routes you want to send to the SatNav. Click on 'Send on GPS'.

Then, on the SatNav Click 'Before You Set Off' and Select 'Managing My ViaMichelin' Select the 'Options' Icon and then 'Connect to My ViaMichelin'. This will download the destinations and routes from above.

Hope this helps and that I haven't overdone the explanation!
