Where did you get the ogg files from? if they are from the PocketGPSWorld ogg file download page they don't need re-naming.

Have you re-configured all the camera POI warnings within the TomTom application, or possibly just re-configured the warnings it has offered you for selection.

There is a limit of 100 custom POI files on the device using version 6 software, 39 if using version 5 - how many other custom POI files are installed to the map folder, count up the files that end with the extension ov2 - Mike

The secret of solving problems like this is always to be able to actually SEE what files are where...
Connect up your TomTom to your PC so that the TT is seen as a new drive. Close Home if it tries to run. Open up Windows Explorer and view the TomTom "drive".
Look inside the map folder (called "Western Europe" or "UK and IE plus major roads of WE" or something similar) and you should see all the camera POI files.
Just check to see that all the .oggs are present and have names that exactly match their associated ov2 files.

(If you can't see the three letter extensions after the dot, you need to alter your preferences in Windows Explorer (or My Computer) TOOLS / FOLDER OPTIONS / VIEW Tab /
In the "Advanced settings" section:-
TICK "Show hidden files and folders" and
UN-TICK "Hide extensions for known file types")

There are some ready made oggs to go with those too, but as a separate download from the ogg files collection page).

If you have all of those and you have gone through the "warn when near" set-up for EVERY ONE again, it should all work fine. If the system recognises the sound file as correct, it will automatically skip the page in the set-up where it asks you to choose a sound effect.

Have a check and report back.

Below is a screen shot of my tomtom & I know there is no ogg files for pmobiles but there is ogg files for specs & still they do not work.
Hopefully you can see something I can't.

For a start where are the other files that Andy has listed in an earlier post? - you seem to be missing the Mobiles and the Gatso files (the PMobiles are the provisional ones that are still to be verified). - your screen shot only shows 17 ov2 files and each one has a coresponding ogg file

If the screen shot is all you have on the device then I am not surprised it doesn't work as the files are missing, download the speed zoned ov2 file set again and re-install it.

By re-configuring your warnings I mean that after installation of the POI files AND the ogg files to the map folder you need to do the following:

1/ Power up the device
2/ Go to Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI
3/ Select the first POI file entitled "pocketgps_XXXXXXXX" (the XXXXX bit can mean anything)
4/ Answer NO to the "Remove POI Warning" prompt.
5/ Set a distance you are happy with
6/ Set the Warn only if POI on Route check box according to preference
7/ repeat from step 2 and make sure each POI category is re-selected for the warnings. - Mike

I have reloaded all the speedzone,ogg files again & reconfigured the same as you have stated & will give it another go in the morning.

I hope someone can help me with this problem. I have downloaded and installed the Pocket GPS speed camera database along with the voice alerts and these work very well. However, I seem to be getting warning sounds when there are no POIs showing on the screen. These are the bleeps and bongs that originally came with the TomTom system.

I originally installed the TomTom speed camera database but found this to be out of date. So I subscribed to the Pocket GPS database and found much better.

Any help will be most welcome.

Have a read of #13 on the FAQ page which can be found Here - you are most probably getting warnings from the TomTom database in addition to the one you can trust - Mike
