'tis pretty straightforward. Plug it into the PC and switch on. Once it's initialised then simply browse to it with Explorer and copy the entire contents to a directory on your hard drive. Job's a good 'un. |

OK... I thought you had probably worked it out by now that I am technically pretty clueless?
all I was looking for was a written set of instructions so that I could visualise the process a little better - never mind, I will have a go when I get new unit |

well handtec are sending me a replacement which should be here Tuesday...
Have managed to save a few set of different campsite and related POi's on to my SD card. Now, when I plug it in to 770 I presume I can use POIa straight from card as I don't want to have a repeat of what happened when I managed to lock maps or whatever...
I think I would prefer to keep 3rd party poi on card (it is 4 GB) thats OK isn't it? |

Got the replacement 770 today. seems to recognise the different sets of camping POI's so all set for south of France trip.........
I left info on card although I was asked when I switched it on did I want to download from card to GPS memory, I thought best not to after last ba**s up
I have a 4 GB card, it seems to be working OK even though Garmin person said Nuvi might only work with 2 GB |
