|
|
Hi to everybody
I'm new to the GPS game and have bought a Navman iCN530 off of Ebay and tried to load the Euro maps from the discs but it keeps asking for a code? I phoned Navman and was told I would have to purchase a code price£69! I can't afford that! that's as much as I paid for the unit...Is there anybody that can help me with the code or have I wasted my money?
I thank all who read this in advance...Thanks

HI Johnrox and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunatly it would be against the forum rules for anyone to supply you with a code for your maps, unless you, as Navman suggested buy the code.
Have you contacted the seller for the code as he should still have it, if it is legit. Alternatively you may have old maps so there may be justification to buy a new set of maps from navman's online store.
Otherwise it is looking like a bit of an expensive door stop! _________________ Dom

Thanks Mostdom' It certainly looks as though it's going to make an unusal doorstop because I can't contact the buyer. Thanks for replying and best wishes.

Is your problem that maps that should be working are not, or that you want to use maps that have not been paid for.
As stated above, if it is the latter, we cannot (will not) help you
If it is the former, then you can try this
Install SmartSt on a PC, and connect the iCN. Go to the menu bar and look for the option "Recover keys" in one of the menus. (It's been a long time for me, so tool around till you find something like it)
This will connect to the Navman webserver and get the codes for all the maps that this unit is allowed to have.
You may then need to install them on theunit - depends if they are installed already or not. |
