Can I set a default location on power up?

I've probably missed something. Is there any way that it can be set to default to a specifc location? .... It centers on the middle of the national park when i select the map.

Nope...sadly not. At least yours centres on a national park....I'm lumbered with Leicester!!! Laughing

I did try changing the location the map starts up with last year as the co-ords are stored within the map file on the card. When I did this the unit refused to use the map so I had to change it back - Like Rob has said its not possible, some of us have tried and failed with this one - Mike

Oh to be lumbered with Leicester. I have to put up with Glasgow!!

It's an oddity for sure and one I will be quizzing them on. I'm stuck with Leicester too!

Had my SatMap for a couple of weeks and have just obtained the full UK 1:50,000. Running 1.16 I've found that instead of pressing 'View Map' after turning the unit on one presses 'Cancel', the OS map defaults to its last known location rather than the map default (Glasgow, Leicester etc.)

For info. the default map locations Leicester etc. are deliberate, as these are the centre points of the particular map inserted.
