|
|
Hiya im new to the forum and have been tearing my hair out trying to get my tt one v3 to connect to the comp, Ive looked through lots of threads but each solution i still cant connect
please could someone help with getting my pc to recognise my tt
I can plug the tt into the usb port of pc (tried all 4 ports) and I get the onscreen tomtom msg - do you want to connect to computer
when I select yes
the tomtom screen goes blank
tomtom start up screen appears
blank again
i see written text saying writing route 50-80% in top right corner
then i hear several fast beeps of comp (usb connecting i think) then the screen goes to the do you want to connect to computer screen again
If I open device manager on the pc whilst doing this I get the following:
in the device manager I get a pop up that says other devices with a yellow question mark and a explanation mark
+network adapter
- other devices - one (V6)
+port (COM LPT)
If I wait for a few moments the device disappears and at the bottom right of task bar I get the message this device might not work properly
Through reading posts I have tried:
scanning for hardware changes
updating the driver by right clicking other devices - automatically and manually serching for windows/system 32
uninstalling device
different combinations of switching off unplugging usb restarting pc/tt
updating all the security updates available for microsoft sp2
Please if there is anyother solution to this problem i'd defo giv it a try
thanks |

try resetting the device see if that helps 1 for 10 seconds then try again for 30 seconds if the first doesn't work _________________ TomTom 5001 |

Hi thanks for reply, I have read through the thread but I do not get the device under usb or mass storage only under other devices, I tried the parts from the tomtom website with no luck either
maybe its a faulty tomtom like it said at end of thresd, just wanted to see if any other solutions before i take back to argos - really gutted cause everything else seemed a breeze, just no use if i cannot update |
