Reception is still a postcode lottery and will depend upon where you travel for most trips as to the quality of the reception, install the aerial wire at least 5CM from the metal frame of the windscreen for best results - let us know how you get on - Mike |

I got a 720T this week - I'm a massive fan of TomTom, but this TMC seems fraught with problems.
I've trained manually tuning it to Classic FM (it shows on my radio fine) but can I get it to work, nope - still keeps searching.
Is this product fit for purpose, I wonder?
And what is that I'm doing wrong, when everyone else here seems to be able to get it working...

Welcome to the forum Peter, You are doing nothing wrong, as I said in the post above yours "reception is still a postcode lottery" where in the country are you located?
Also is the RDS device you have got the latest type, look at the wire near the plug and you will find a small white flag, it should end with the numbers 013 if its the latest.
The only other advice is to keep the aerial wire at least 5CM away from the vehicles "A" pillars - Mike |
