I have been reading up on some GPS units and some have said they have TMC Pro, is this different to standard TMC and what does it provide extra over standard TMC? |

Which GPS units and manufacturers are you reading about, this could be simple marketing speak, but not necessarily depending upon the country of use? - Mike |

TMCpro doesn't apply here in the UK, it's something that is only relevant on the continent only.
Here we only have 'premium' TMC providers i.e. those you have to pay to access. Over the channel they have free public service and paid for providers. The commercial paid for services use the brand name TMCpro to help distinguish those devices that have paid the licence to use them from those that have not.
Hope that helps? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes, in essence, both RAC-TrafficMaster and iTIS's services are TMCpro. _________________ Darren Griffin |
