There are lots of software packages with the sat navs and maps for the USA are available for some. I'd contact Medion and ask them. You can find the extra maps on their website
www.medionshop.co.uk
For example, Medion Navigator version 4 is £54.99 and version 5.1 is £59.99 but these may not be suitable. I think the site could be laid out better because it's easy to miss this section. |

I know quite a few people who have bought devices like Medion, Ay2B etc and cannot get extra maps, POI's and speed cameras etc. The lesson is stick to well known brands (Garmin, Tom Tom etc). The extra you pay is for a more capable device, but mainly the security of good product support for the future. |

I assume that (as you'll need a satnav), you'll be driving a hire car?
IF so, why not hire one with a Nav built in?
Otherwise, I'd be tempted to buy a USA nav system off ebay (perhaps) & sell it when you come back.
If you consider the $/£ exchange rate, you should get a good deal.
Question to the Mods.....how come I'm relegated back to an intermediate??? _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD

Yeh...course I will.
Whether I screw up..or do OK, it doesn't matter.
The kids are REALLY excited.....& I'm on a crash diet!
Have piled on the stones over the past 10 years!!!
My other halves best mate won £2.5k last year!....I'll be happy with the BFH!
I'm under NO illusion that it'll go pear shaped....I even went to pieces when I was quizzed over the phone (the initial 'audition'). _________________ Jaguar XF R Sport AWD
