Hi Folks,
My last Satnav was a Garmin I3, a great little unit but I recently decided to upgrade to a 660, larger screen, Bluetooth etc and I'm really pleased with it, after I fiddled about with the voice files to make them louder that is. There is no end to the knowledge within this community!
One thing bugs me however. The last S/W upgrade for the I3 included a feature where the unit would default to the country it was in at the time when inputting a destination. With the 660 you have to spell the country each time.
Is there a way to default the 660 to you current country when entering a destination?
Thanks, Bob. |

Hello Bob
I have the Nuvi 670, as far as I know there is not the facility to do as you ask. It is just a case of getting used to it, when I switch it on i don't even think about it now. Happy exploring I know that you will have a lot of fun.

I've had a look at the firmware upgrades for both the 660 and the 670 and neither mention this "fix". I also had an i3 and remember the fix being introduced.
All i can tell you is the 7xx series have it. Seems odd that they fix this for an old model and include it with the new ones but miss the middle ones out.... Perhaps and email to Garmin asking if they can include it in the next 6xx firmware upgrade? |
