i tried to update it via home 2.2 and seem to have failed. firstly, it caused the speed camera data not to work but now it just wont find a gps signal at all, i left it for 5-10 minutes and it got nothing....

Have you tried poking the reset hole? (on your One "3rd Edition" ) |

have done that yes and it now finds a fix, i reset the unit to factory setting too for good measure and uninstalled home2.2 from my pc so i can start from scratch.
however, the camera option still wont work. before, if i clicked on it the camera menu, it gave me 4 options likem report, unhide report button and 2 others that escape my memory.
now if i try and get into camera menu, i get a message saying i can join through tomtom home but i cant this to work at all.
im sure it worked out of the box on the europe one i have here, it definetely did on the one regional i returned today.....
im a bit annoyed |

THe most important thing you MUST do, if you haven't already, is a Windows Explorer (not Home) copy and paste backup of the entire unit.
It sounds like you haver just lost the camera files off the unit, with a backup you could put them straight back on.
Have you tried "update my device" in Home to see if it gives you the cameras again. Usually you only got the demo on the unit but I think you sometimes got ONE download. |

i did a home backup after the trouble started foolishly.
if i view items on device via home, the cameras are there (12 of them??) but i still cant get the menu to open up to allow me to change warning tones for them etc or to report missing ones (the saftety camera menu with 4 sub-menus)
cheers so far |
