Most likely someone couldn't remember their own username (I have different ones for different sites) and tried yours as you may have similar names.
The site security kicks in by verifying the password change via email to the registered address. Therefore, only you would be able to change it this way because you received the email. _________________ Gerry

Gerry has already answered quite well what has likely happened.
So don't be unduly alarmed.
Nevertheless, no harm sending Darren a PM with the relevant details, so he can make sure all is innocent etc. |

I've had something not too dissimilar to this allegedly from my bank, but reading it carefully the grammar and spelling were clearly from somebody whose first language was NOT English and my bank make a point of telling customers that they DON'T send out e-mails.
Even if it is innocent, it's worth keeping your eyes peeled and you're less likely to get stung _________________ Andy

No ,problems chaps. I thought I would just highlight the e-mail incase someone else had one too and there had been some fraudster around . There was a link on the e-mail ,but I didn't click on it .........I never do .............just incase it led to something similar to the Bank e-mails.
Of course , I'll know if it is a regular thing as I'll get another e-mail.
cheers anyway. _________________ Navman Pin 570 , running TT6.10

If you read the full email you will see further down that it says something along the lines of "If you did not request a re-advice of your password you can ignore this email', it then goes on to explain that the vast majority of times this is triggered in error by a user who has forgotten their user-name.
There is no risk as the email always goes to the registered users email address only. _________________ Darren Griffin |
