Which version of the Map do you have?
Which software version are you now using?
If you can't remember the Map Version, there is a .pna File in the Map Folder which you can open with NotePad.
It will list the Map details.
If you have a V7 Map it can only be 'seen' by V7 software. _________________ Richard

Slow down....
Every time you get another bit going, we need to take stock and see how things are going.
QuickGPSFix will NOT help with the machine re-booting, and poor GPS reception will not cause it. This is a much more fundamental problem that we need to investigate.
So, you now have the machine switching on ok, and you can see/ browse around the UK map, but the device re-starts after 30 seconds. Is that where we stand? |

Ok guys, thx for the hope thus far, all seems to be working perfectly well except for one problem...
The blasted thing wont turn off! When I power it off the green exit screen comes up then appears to shut off but powers straight back up.
Is this something people have happened before? I copied the files over from oldboy's older ttone file then updated (104 files inc voices and poi's)
Then all seemed fine untill I tried turning it off, it goes off only when I reset it.

Everything is fine with it now, seems I was pressing the power button for too long when I switched it off
Thank you all very much for your help, much appreciated.
