hi
can anybody tell me if its possible to use the speed camera alerts, with nokia maps , im going out of my head trying without any success, any help would be very much appreciated believe me, thanks george |

Don't think it's possible. Or at least, I've not yet found a way, and it's not for want of looking - I use Nokia maps on both phones.
Alternative software for the Symbian S60 leaves a lot to be desired, too. Maybe some satnav company will one day twig to the growing market for satnav on phones, but I ain't seen it yet....

hi thanks for your reply. its not a nokia phone i have its a satnav made by a company called navaccess the model is the mx-100 it comes with nokia gate 5 maps and and is powered by smart to go |

I think it's the same software and the same maps, regardless of platform, so I guess the answer remains no.
MaFt
CoPilot and a host of others will "work" on a Symbian phone. They all have significant drawbacks (especially for the 8Gb, which has no card slot, so loading is a pain) in comparison with TT. The only one that appears to be getting close is Sygic as reviewed here recently, but that seems to have significant routing issues as per review (although others have not reported, or maybe noticed, them). Meantimes I'll stick with Route 66 on the 6110 and Nokia Maps on the 8Gb, even tho' there's no cam database that's applicable.
Just have to slow down when using them, I guess....
