v7.xx maps may not need them but, as I found out, if they get left behind after upgrading the map from v6.xx then the map share won't update. |

Thanks for your link. Thats the only way I managed to update my Western Europe map stored on my SD card. All maps are now updated, including some errors which are NOT errors (A local main A road which somebody keeps trying to correct. Its a road I have reported for over two years now)

I have just bought a One Version 3 (wish I hadn't) Western Europe and have the same problem as above. When connected, I am told my maps are 22 weeks out of date and there are 14328 corrections waiting. Tools/ Tom Tom Mapshare/ Map share Preferences gives me the Countries with nly a Done and Cancel button. The info given by Andy_P2002 doesn't work as there are no mid files. The information given by Skwark doesn't appear to work either as I have map version 715.1689. I am also using Home version 2.2.0.33.
A little confused now

So are you saying your Countries list is empty? If so that was the problem I had.
I assume you have enabled Map Share in the device? If you don't have the mid files maybe there is some other file type you need to rename or remove.
Do you have sufficient free space on its memory card as my current Map Share files are now just over 3.5MB in size for W & E Europe.
Did you upgrade your map straight away to V715.1689 or did it come pre-loaded. If you did upgrade it then did you try out Map Share with its original map first?

Have you removed the "old" map from the device? I've seen a few people reporting this issue when they upgraded maps and this seemed to be the cause... if it came with v715 out of the box then also make sure you have the latest version of Home installed |

Hi Bug
Yes, this is the same problem it seems that you had. After some playing, I have removed the SdkRegistry folder that I added for custome menus. I have again gone back to activate the Mapshare and also unhide the report button. When trying to use Mapshare now, I get an error message (can't remember what at the mo) with the button to report to Tom Tom anonymously. I can cancel that and get to another screen that says the device is currently in use. Cancel again and I return to the map screen which shows "Loading" on the screen. I am hoping it may well be downloading the corrections now? On a 2mb ADSL line, it has already being chugging away for 5 minutes. How big can it be????

I had to remove the old map as there was insufficient room for both, what with it only being 1Gig and all _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Gave up trying to download. No data transfer through my firewall and it isn't blocked!! Tried again and got the error:
Component returned failure code: 0x80750003 [ttlDeviceItems.populate]
Off to the TT website to raise a ticket!!! _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Apologies, but that information came DIRECT from TomTom support. I was foolish enough to trust them on this occasion, and didn't double check that it was up to date. As discussed elsewhere, it works for v6 mapping but not for v7. |

I wasn't having a pop Andy, just showing that I had tried some of the remedies already discussed, in case I was referred back to them again. _________________ Garmin Drivesmart 51 LMT-D Europe |

Just to update. I connected my TT tonight and it synched straight away. All Map Share downloads completed. I have no idea what the problem was as I have not changed any settings, neither have I received any response from my ticket to support!!

There seem to be a few threads on this topic so I'll pick this one to post in.
I'm now having similar problems to others here:
Had a 910 running v6 maps
Updated softed to Navcore v7 & 7.15 maps
Initially MapShare was telling me I could download updates
Now it tells me my map is 23 weeks out of date but gives me no option to download corrections and nothing is lissted in the 'countries' list for available updates.
I've tried:
renaming my old mid & mms files from the v6 map
deleting old map & leftover associated files
reset button
directions by Skwark in another thread (I have no MapServerPatch.dat, ServerLineIndex.dat or ServerNameIndex.dat files)
Now I'm stumped |

Have you tried going to Tools / Map Share / Remove corrections (in Home) and removing both your own and other peoples corrections?
It also might just start updating for no apparent reason like it did for Wazza_G HERE |
