Looking for a PocketPC app that would use the phone GPS to:
1) Log location every x minutes
2) Preferably support being triggered by SMS
3) Has to be stealth, runs in the background and at system start
4) Would be nice if data was posted to a server or emailed as location changes.
5) Would be nice if an SMS or IM could be sent and instantly the location was sent back.
I know this is a basic question but I keep trying applications that either are not able to be stealth or they just don't work well.
Thanks |

Instant feedback of position would require the GPS to be switched on all the time, on entering a building it would have to remember the last known good position fix, whilst staying powered up looking for a signal - 4 hours tops from a fully charged battery is about all you will get so its not really viable for a mobile phone - Mike |

Thanks Mike, this is less of an issue because in this situation the phone is plugged in a lot then on the move for maybe an hour at a time.

I'm just writing such a program in Python, for Nokia phones.
I don't know if PocketPC does support python, and if PocketPC python supports bluetooth connection and SMS handling.
