Sorry, need to rant -
In the last week I have been subjected to so many drivers who are a danger to everyone on the road, namely -
Cars/vans that do not have indicators as standard, should these people not pay a bit extra and get some
Indicating as they are changing direction
Cutting in so close that I have to brake
Staying in the middle lane doing 30
Driving so close I can't see the number plate
Blatant mobile phone users - yes, still so many on the road...........scary
Weaving in and out of lanes! Is time so precious they have to save 5 seconds?
Flashing in the outside lane when I'm doing the maximum +
If you can relate to any of the above I despair, life is just too short!! I'm not saying I am a perfect driver, (but I am female) but there are some fools out there. _________________ TTGO720 |

I simpathise with you red24, dispite an apparently HARD driving test system in this country, it seems we have a lot of... ...poor skills on our roads.
Don't dispare as I read recently that there is soon to be a another clamp down, starting with mobiles. Again. _________________ Dom

and then blame car drivers when they nearly get killed after jumping a red light, at night, with no lights and dark clothing on.
Drivers who don't check their light regularly and drive around with 1 out 3 the three brake lights working or a blown indicator... |

My pet hate is all those vehicles and drivers. If only they'd stay at home I could get round a lot easier. Driving would be a pleasure without all that lot.
Seriously, tail-gaters, especially in housing estate roads where a child could pop out at you from any gap. _________________ Dennis

Obviously, we missed white van men (and soon to be Audimetallicsilvervan men) off the list.
Hopefully, his PC will have been sufficiently ravaged to stop him having any further input _________________ Andy

I'm the opposite - I don't like cyclists who filter to the front of a queue of traffic and then get in the way when the lights go green. I'd prefer that they just treated the red light as a "Give Way" (provided they are safe and considerate to other road users with the right of way) and got out of my way.
Mind you, cyclists generally annoy me. I was walking down the footpath with two young children the other day and I had a cyclist ride up behind me and (politely) ask if he could get by. Sure, I said. Just use that road over there....

All of the above...
I'll add in what really annoys me. You're driving down the road and you have no-one behind you - some idiot rushes out of a side road to get ahead of you (causing you to brake) then drives along at 25mph!!! On a 50mph speed limit with difficult overtaking!!!!!??? What's that about?
Why can't they wait the few seconds for me to get by. _________________ Paul

Drivers who don't dip their headlights
People who don't turn their rear fog lights off when you're travelling along in a line of traffic being blinded by the b*****d in front
Drivers who stop at roundabouts when there's nothing in sight and then seem to sit waiting for something to come so that they can justify stopping in the first place
People who speed up when you begin to overtake them...and then slow down again when you're in front of them
Drivers who a travelling relatively slowly in the middle or outside lane who then speed up when they pull over to an inside lane _________________ Andy

easy solution: put your full beam on and pull back just enough so that you can see it reflecting in their rear-view mirror see how they like it!

That never works for me because the d*** heads don't seem to realise that their rear fog lights are on, so wonder what you are banging on about.
They probably also drive with the front fog lights on as well despite the fact that you are only supposed to use them in fog or falling snow. Do they not realise that they frequently dazzle oncoming drivers, or do they just not care? |

A mate just had a good one. - People who drive off in the winter without defrosting their van/car first, then stopping at a junction for three minuites because they then realise that they can't see anything, leaving you stuck behind unable to get passed.
