It would be nice if true, but the info with my 920 clearly states that you only have 30 days from the date of purchase.

Moot point, still shows 710 maps in Home here, not 715.

Could it be that he's confusing the 30 day Map Update Guarantee with the 1 year MapShare Updates?

For Infama. UK and Ireland V715 shows the same as this link http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.492629&lon=-2.950613&z=16.8&r=0&src=msa
But if you switch to Microsoft (labels) the overlay shows a road across the middle

'free map for 1 year' is US only and for US map onlyIm afraid, just got offical confirmation from TT support. The coupon means you will receive new map releases for a year.

At last the new maps (apparently) contain Jersey & Guernsey, although the coverage is "limited". About time!

The US only map is a new stipulation. this was NEVER mentioned before. They are weaseling out of their commitment!
