Blackberry was new at Xmas, TT Traffic wonderful, copied all contacts from phone, voice dialling no problem, bluetooth set up, weather OK, Plus and handsfree all working fine.
Turned it on a week ago and nothing.............no bluetooth connection, no nothing, won't copy contacts.
2 very good, necessary bits of equipment that now won't talk to each other, won't talk to anyone in fact.
Why oh why has this happened??? |
I would make sure you have'nt turned off any of the bluetooths on both devices. If all else fails the Clear Flash Tool has been known to fix alot of bluetooth problems in the TT side of things. Not sure about faults at the Blackberry side of things. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Hi there (I'm a new user so please excuse lack of Netiquette etc!),
Firstly Ian I think your suggestion of an up to date phone list for TOMTOMs is perfect, TomTom need to pull their fingers out! For what it's worth I doubt they'd even use your list despite it being useful as they would still have to officially test the phones first for themselves or they would probably be liable to false info. etc..
Anyway, I've a TOMTOM GO 720 and am currently looking to get the Sony Ericsson K530i phone but I'm wondering whether anyone out there has the phone & knows if it's compatible with the 5 bluetooth features of the TOMTOM GO 720:
TomTom Plus
Hands-free calling
Send SMS
Receive SMS
Contact List
I've already checked the TOMTOM website for compatibility but of course the phone is not listed:
I think I'm right in saying that the predecessor to the k530i was the k510i but I may be wrong. Could I assume that because the k510i is fully compatible that the k530i would be as well?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is a really great thread and idea.

Hi EddyTedwood and welcome to the forum
I have looked into the SE K530i and i have been notified that that all the features work fine exept sending SMS. The SE seems to always be a good choice for compatability with the TT. If there is any others you mobiles you are thinking of let me know and i will look into it for you. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Thanks for the quick reply Ian,
That's 80% good news! I am intrigued to know where you got that info from as I have spent ages trawling the net - Google etc. and found nothing on the combination of this phone and TOMTOM
Cheers again

A friend of mine has his own phone shop and i am there alot and try my best to check the features of phones people are looking for. But i will say sometimes they are not 100% with what other people come up with in their phone if it is the same model but that could be down to the TT used. Even in this thread two different people listed the same phone but with different features for them. But i will report my findings and hope they help the people on this site. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

I try my best If it helps you on your decision i used to have the SE K610i phone and found it great with the TT and never once caused me problems and i think it has been reduced in price at the moment on 3GB on PAYG. Might be a thought if you will use your phone with your TT alot. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Well tried the clear flash tool, made no difference at all, both bluetooths are on and it still goes through the motions as if its connected but when trying to copy contacts to BB I get a Java message.
Result is even when I disable both bluetooths the indicator light still stays on until I do a battery pull! Can't use handsfree or make any calls at all through the TT, really am peeved off now. _________________ TTGO720 |

Hi All
I have just received an LG Viewty on upgrade
ttg700 running 7.162
ttg sees phone phone sees ttg but cannot make or receive calls.
Previous phone, Samsung D900 worked fine on voice and contact list no sms whatsoever
I should have read this thread before upgrading
Fortunately t-mobile will exchange the phone for another.
Does anybody know whether the Sony Ericsson K850i
Works
Many Thanks

Hi Thanks
Best of luck with your g800
I had always had nokia's untill my last phone I vowed never to have another noikia after being sent 6 separate replacements with exactly the same fault.
I found my samsung to be really reliable I am only changing as I was offered an upgrade for free |

O2 Pay as You Go is not acceptable for use with the TomTom server as O2 only provide WAP access, to use the TomTom services via your phone you must have GPRS which is not available via O2 PAYG - get a card from a different phone service provider such as T-Mobile who do offer GPRS via PAYG - Mike |
