Whether or not y uo can use MapShare depends on the software and map(s) you have on the device. You need at least V7.xxx of the softwar and at least map version 675.1409 but I've seen a few of these 19 weeks reports, and have it myself on one of my devices. _________________ Tim |

Mines doing the same thing with the new version of Home and I have the latest software and map. Think I'll try again tomorrow. |

Running new version of Home here and came onto the forum because I just got that same message about being 19 weeks out of date ...and bumped straight into your post. Reassuring to know I'm not alone, though it would be more reassuring to understand why it's happening.
Also finding new Home extremely 'ploddy' when reading my device, and I'm almost certain my pc's not to blame for it.
On another note, can anyone advise how to change the shutting down screen image? Downloaded a pic for it and now can't find how to get it to show. |

You DLed it to the PC, then you need to use HOME to install it to the device! |

... or bypass the whole Home business and simply save the image (correct size and shape - same as the original) to the TomTom using Windows Explorer like we always have done.
The startupscreen is called "splash.bmp" (or splashw.bmp" on widescreen models)
and the shutdown screen is either called "suspend.bmp"/"suspendw.bmp" OR "antitheft.bmp"/"antitheftw.bmp" depending on software version.
Just have a look at what is already on your unit to see the correct name and size for yours. |

Thanks a lot Andy for pointing me clearly in the right direction. I wondered if that was the way forward after ploughing through TomTom site's instructions, but could only find instructions relating to the start up screen, not the close down screen. |

Anyone getting any joy on this yet? I'm not now getting the 19 weeks old message, but it's still telling me there's a few thousand map updates and then not updating |

Same thing being discussed HERE
There's an awful lot of these "parallel" topics going on at the moment. Doing my head in! Can't someone merge them? |

If merge was an option we could, but it isn't. Now if you were an Mod you'd know that Andy

Darn it Now it's locked! Diffferent board software, we have the option to split, move/delete but not merge. Pity but there ya go! _________________ Darren Griffin |
