Hello All
Have any Mac users (Tiger) been able to use OPERATE MY ONE with 2.2.0.16? All I get is THIS FUNCTION IS NOT YET SUPPORTED FOR YOUR TOMTOM DEVICE OR OPERATING SYSTEM.
Yes,
I did it last night and twice tonight!
There was less stuff being offered for sharing today, but the system seemed more stable.
When I logged in today after work (I have the PC version), stuff available yesterday also wasn't available today, such as opening and closing splashscreens. Further, I didn't look yesterday for additional voice warnings (to replace 'you have reached your destination') but looked today ... none available.
Also, in the update screen, there wasn't even a row for mapshare changes ...regardless of whether there were any new changes or not.
I'm REALLY starting to get concerned about this version.
Finally, I see this version of software got installed in a folder NOT showing as the one designated for downloads on my computer!

All the "sharing" features have apparently been "pulled" by TomTom, probably because it was rather too easy to "share" copyright material that you shouldn't!!
I guess they are feverishly trying to work out how to re-implement it.
Meanwhile we, the customers, will be left guessing as usual, with no information other than a help file that doesn't match reality any more.

On the USA tomtom forum, some users are bailing on version 2.2 and reverting back to 2.1. One user reports all custom poi's he creates do not get saved when using 2.2 and get lost.

You mean PC users!
Mac users are actually better off...at least we are in the game now.

Now lost 2.1 and only option offered was loading ver 1.5 but no upgrade offered although logged in and TT attached.
Bit of a disaster so far.......

MapShare seems to be working ok with Home 2 V2.2.0.33
Having read through decided to delete Home via it's uninstall file. Connected the 720 via it's cradle and switched it on and it downloaded and installed the new version 2.2.0.33, selected run, Home came up selected device as location and it downloaded a MapShare update at 14:54. On page 1 of the main screen in home top right was a new box containing "Your Map is up to date, 46,102 MapShare corrections in use."
Disconnected, made a map change to a local road, reconnected and it showed another MapShare download available which I did, it also uploaded the Map change i had just made. The Box in the top right now reads "46,142 MapShare corrections in use".
Nothing available for sharing in the new sharing features. _________________ Graham.

My mapshare still downloads every time i connect but it is displayed like the QuickGPSfix at the top of the downloads. I have also noticed that everything is alot slower and takes longer like updates and anything where the green loading bar is shown.
What ammused me was where the mapshare corrections used to be shown at the bottom of the screen now has recomended with the TT Traffic and Daftycam for $34.95. The reason for this is because my Traffic has expired and is (recomended) an update. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Is it my PC or is the TT server down - I keep getting connection errors and TT Home 2.2 tells me I'm not connected to the internet, which is total rubbish (as usual). Anyone else with these problems?

Panic over, just went to TT site and latest ver of Home is available.
Seems to load better direct than via upgrade

New "Sounds" downloads.
Change your "You have reached your destination" to something else as well as new Ringtone, Incoming message tone and POI alert sounds.
New "add-ons" (in Tools menu). It says I have a new Mapshare "status indicator". Not seen it yet....
Add "Images and icons" (car icon, splash screens)
Changing content, it now "Recommends" stuff (like Traffic and Speed cams.)
It now actually tells you whether you have got the Internal memory or the SD card selected.
That's what I've seen so far...
how do i get it to work?
can you help

What do you want to change?
Too tired to describe ALL of them on the off-chance.
If you go to the "Help" menu in Home and select "Help Topics" there is a whole section on "sounds" in the "adding to your TomTom" chapter.
Only problem is that there is a note saying:
"Note: Custom sounds are not supported on all TomTom devices." without saying which ones they are!
If you go to the main "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc." section, there is a sub-section on the second page for "sounds". Click there and it gives all the options to me.
If there is something specific you want to change (e.g. ringtone) and it is not described well enough there, come back and ask again, as there are often manual ways of doing the same thing without using Home.

It looks like the community sharing is back up now. Lots of extra startup images, POIs, voices etc (wonder where they got the idea from ). _________________ Gerry
