Hi All,
I have a nuvi 760 & a Samsung D600 mobile. As was stated in another thread, (on D900) the address book has to be loaded manually from the D600.
I f the PHONE address book is edited, (numbers removed) and then sent again to the nuvi, the removed numbers still appear in the NUVI address book, but none are duplicated. Is it possible to edit the NUVI address book, i.e. remove entries, or even the complete address book?
(I have done a search to try to find an answer before opening a new thread.)

If you unpair and re-pair your phone, it zaps the entire list. That's the best I've managed
I gave up on using this mechanism (I tried 5 or 6 phones! - the address book wasn't directly accessible on any of them).
I made myself a Custom POI file - exported the Samsung address book and then added dummy, incremental coordinates to keep the list in alphabetical order.

Sorry, but please could you explain how to make a custom POI file & export the phone book (presumably from the phone?) then add dummy incremental coordinates. This is all new to me

There's a clue in my signature line
I exported my contacts from Samsung's "PIM & File Manager" as a csv file. Imported into Excel to use the 'autofill' function Added two columns for geo. coords. Set all latitudes same, then decremented longitude (by 0.000001) for each POI. (So geographically they are in a long line in the Atlantic, to the west of Ireland). Added a few column headers, imported into GeePeeEx Editor and exported as .GPX file.
Then it's just POI Loader as normal to make a .gpi file on the Nüvi.
One of the drawbacks of this approach, is that it won't match the Caller Id on incoming calls.
