|
|
Hi there, just wondering if someone can help me... I've just got the Tom Tom Navigator 3 software with the bluetooth gps system. However, when going through setup althought the navigator software and maps all load on to the pda/sd card, when I try to start the program, it tells me that I need to load the maps onto my SD card. I've followed all the instructions to the letter and am now at a loss as to what to do next! Even when I install the smaller maps directly onto the pda memory it still wont work! |

I'm going to have to assume that Navigator 3 is similar to Navigator 2 - as I haven't yet got my hands on a copy of Navigator 3.
Check that you have all four components installed - Navigator, the GPS driver and the voice files (all of which should show in the Add/Remove Programs feature of ActiveSync) as well as the map.
If things still don't work, uninstall all the components and reinstall. If you haven't been asked for the product code at any point, then that's a sign that something somewhere went wrong with the installation.

I've done all that, and all the comonents are there in the add/remove programs folder. I was asked for the product code when I first installed the CD, but not since, would this cause the problem? If I'm not asked to input the code, then how do I do it manually? |

If you've put the product code in once, that should be sufficient.
If you haven't already, try a soft reset on your Pocket PC (the equivalent of rebooting your computer). Do not follow the hard reset procedure - it's unlikely such a drastic measure is needed.
If that still doesn't solve the problem, uninstall everything and reinstall it.

I've just been reading the thread on SD card speed and was wondering if that might be the problem? But as I speak... It's finally worked! Thanks for your help! |
