Thank you for the comprehensive Edge 305 review.
I have found the screen to retrieve the Lat/Long of my location but would like to have them expressed in grid coordinates (i.o degree minutes) to locate myself on the 1:25000 map. Can you explain how to do it?

I and others have had a big problems with the heart rate monitor. I is not accurate. They have replaced this unit 3 times and still heart rate is very bad. One second it is correct at 140 bpm, then next second it is 90. I have replaced batteries tried many positions and even gels for the contacts.
If you are serious about using a heart rate monitor you there is a very good chance you will be disappointed with this unit.
I'm still trying to get Garmin to understand a lap vs track deletion issue but its just like talking to a wall.
Apparently the only way you should delete a lap to remove the portion of the track is in Training Centre (which I didn't want to use anyway), and then export the TCX. (This can be converted with babel etc so not that much of a pain). But what about Motion Based? Garmin's own site, nope, still problems with that one.
first of all im new here, so sorry if im not so good with all the terms ;).
I read the review with great interest. Im considering to get something like that in order to go trek-riding (dont know if thats the right term in english, so sorry ;) ) with my horse, which also offers applikations so that i can see where im actually going, where the next village is, the next restaurant etc. anyone know a device that can do all those things? But at the same time can record how fast I went, how many km etc. The heart rate etc. is not so important (I guess it would be difficult to strap it around my horse- )
Also I was wondering: it seems like there are no maps on the device itself (like google maps), where you can see exactly where you are going is that right? Wouldnt that be more useful for cyclers?
