|

Hi all,
This month I am unable to download a readable database zip file. I had some trouble last month (my first since joining) but eventually managed to get a readable file. To explain I can apparently successfully download the zips but they are unreadable in any zip program I have. I have tried to download from both Firefox (my standard) and IE. I have also tried using the alternative link and right clicking to save but in all cases the zip files downloaded are corrupt.
I know others have had this problem but a search of the forums hasn't turned up any workable solution.
Any ideas.

To be honest this question is answered quite alot. What you are better doing is to download maybe 20-25 at a time and also click on the show link icon. This should be a solution to your problem. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Hi Ian,
I'm not too sure what you mean. i am a noob at this at the moment. However, I have discovered that the zips I had downloaded were in fact OK. You just cannot view them from within a zip program. So I just unzipped to another directory and they are there. Seems odd but it worked. So thanks for your reply I will look into your suggestion also.

Sorry about that . I now what you mean now. When you download anything that is a .zip file (you can see a zip on the folder also), you have to right click on it and then select extract all and the folder to extract them to but if you click OK or Finish (cant remember) they will extract them into the same folder as the .zip file is in then another folder will appear and if you double click on that folder you can view them and copy them.
