I've lost the visual warnings on my TT1XL indicating what the speed limit is and what speed I'm doing (changes to red when over the limit). The only thing that I have changed is that I've installed the PGPSW camera data base and removed the TomTom database. Do you lose the visual warnings when you delete the TT database? _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

Hi
Just go to menu then to change preferences, then page three, then status bar preferences , then go to page two and tick "show max speed next to speed" and all is done |

Aware of that and double checked the box is ticked but makes no difference. _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

Not all roads contain the speed limit information in which case the unit simply displays current speed, are you using it on roads where you have previously seen speed limit information, or are you on roads you have not used the device on previously? - Mike |

As Mike was saying it maybe roads you are not on alot. Try navigating to a known place and then select a demo run to it and see if the speed warnings appear there. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Try AtoB Advanced Planning (or AtoB Prepare Route on some software) and set a departure point as FY43NN house 95, destination PR41AX house number 33 (if it lets you), once the route is planned press the "Details" button followed by Show Route Demo, once the unit gets to the M55 /J4 it will display the speed and limit (takes around 5 mins at 200%) - Mike |

Mike, you're a star. Thanks for the route which confirmed all is well. It seems there are more roads than not which don't provide speed limits on TomTom maps. Thanks again. ![Very Happy](modules/Forums/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif) _________________ TomTom and Sygic app on my iPhone. Toyota CHR |

And even when the road speed is listed there is no guarantee that it will be correct, use the road signs and memory to know the speed of the road, the data in the map containing the speed information is often wrong or out of date. A good idea but not something you could rely upon for speeding avoidance - Mike |
