It'll make a change from the usual crimson red.
I had found a suitable smiley to go with this, but good taste got the better of me. _________________ Dom

Hello pals!, this is my first post here! (I apologize for my bad English)
I use Destinator in my country (because of better maps) and you may find useful the following link:
http://gpspocketpc.gr/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=607
Most cars are captured from 3D models (which is a very good idea to build cursors)
These pages are written in Greek and if you want to read more you can use google translation
I think that you can easily customize the car-icons on your own devices.. |

Thanks for the link, I'm sure some of the forum members will find it useful. The problem is permissions! If we were able to obtain the nessesary permissions to edit and host those cursors then we would happily modify them for this database. But for anyone wanting to modify them for their own use this would of course not be a problem. _________________ Dom

Any "Paint"-type of program will be able to do this.
How well or easily depends on the program.
Microsoft Paint is included in the Accessories on every Windows PC.
It is pretty primitive, but it can change the image frame size by typing the new size into the Image Menu /Attributes window, and you can then use the "select" tool to define the part of the image you want and by grabbing a corner, stretch/shrink it to fit the frame.
Much better programs can be downloaded from the web, "Paintshop Pro" used to be a good shareware one, but I think it costs money now. There must be others... |

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0, which I bought. But I bought it because I'd previously had a free version which came bundled with a digital camera. It has a very simple solution to this, simply menu items Image, Resize Image. _________________ Dennis

Paintshop pro originally cost me £200, but I got work to pay for that!
I got confused there for a mo as I though Dennis was asking for a cursor he could make himself. Then I realised someone else was using the same avatar. _________________ Dom

Are you sure that wasn't PhotoShop? PaintShopPro was nearer £50 IIRC. I used to swear by PSP, did all I needed on the PC but now on the Mac I'm having to learn PhotoShop, a superbly capable application albeit very difficult to learn (for me at least!). _________________ Darren Griffin |
