It is not within my gift to pass the selection to you. I just filled in the details form and thought I would probably be of interest to them if they got nobody else with my TomTom usage characteristics (roughly - I do 60,000+ miles a year, use the TT every day, connect to Home every day, am 68 years old). Apparently they agreed.
If you find it offensive that my post indicates you are genuinely not worthy, then I apologise unreservedly. Put it down to thick Northerner old pensioner stupid sense of humour and you won't go far wrong. _________________ Dennis

Likewise, I think I've been accepted as I drive about 40k per year over a variety of roads. |

Not I, but who cares? Never heard of TomTom delivery promises before? It'll get here when the whitevanman gets his act into gear! You can't use it until you get their next email in January, anyway. _________________ Dennis

I've had the second e-mail giving me full instructions and also telling me that I can use the software as soon as I receive it. No software received yet though. |

I accepted the invitation but I have a feint suspicion that at 77 and driving 5000 mpy, locally, I may not get put on their short list .
Pity really as I drove from Worthing to Nethybridge (Inverness-shire) last week and have the return journey to face next weekend. I could have checked all the road blocks and diversions for them!!
By the way, if this sounds contradictory to the first statement it's because I am making a last ditch effort to see most of my relations around the country. Health reasons dictate that I do not have many more Xmas's left.
That should give TomTom a challenge to give me map updates then!! or maybe I may be able to send down some accurate info to them for a change
Prosperous New Year to everyone.

Got mine today in a jiffy bag from the Netherlands with a Christmas greeting compliment slip. No instructions though. Time to back up the old gal and slip in the new SD. Presumably, I won't have access to all my POI's on the HDD? |

Those who have taken on this testing have agreed to a none disclosure clause. PGPSW will not facilitate any breach of that. This thread is therefore now locked. _________________ Dennis
