Can you tell me if the A726 meets the M77 and continues down onto the East Kilbride road? When I drive this road, TomTom thinks I'm driving over fields! |
It does meet it. It then goes through lots of name changes but eventually becomes the E.Kilbride Road.
Does this help?
(Sorry if you can't see the pictures, all the edits were to change the name of the jpg file as I'm having trouble with uploading pictures to my ISP. They look like they are there, but next time I look they've gone again).

2. When HOME changes versions it's quite possible the newer version won't read the Older Backup. As has happened in going from 1.5 to 2.1 |
Ah I see. I never tried looking for the old backup once I had updated Home to 2.1

If you Install it first, then Back it up to the PC, It's simply a case of Copy/Paste, rather than going through the Install process. |
Are you saying that i should install both maps first. Then backup to the PC and remove or add whichever one I want to have on at that time?

Thansk - that would make a difference. Which map do you have as Andy seems to not have what I'm expecting to see. |

It does help but that's still an older version of the A726.
This is what it looks like now.

Looks like a pretty new bypass.
If you look t the aerial photo view, it's dated 2006 and that whole junction is a building site!
I'll be surprised if it's made it onto the latest maps from TeleAtlas yet. |

It's been open since around the end of 2006.
Thanks anyway. |

This is Junction 5 of the M77. According to the 710 Map there are 2 Junctions where the A726 joins the M77.
This is the one you are referring to.

Yes that's the one I'm after - thanks.
I had forgotten that the original A726 went from East Kilbride through Busby & Clarkston and eventually joined the A77 ( now M77 ) at Darnley. Why they have also named the bypass road which goes from just outside East Kilbride to meet up with the A77 also the A726 I don't quite understand either. No wonder people get confused.
