Nuvi250 - Garmin "may" update maps for free

Hi, yes I registered with my.garmin.com.

Like you, I had a really old firmware, so had to update it in order to load the camera database.

I think you may be correct about falling between two stools. If I click 'map update' it says 'No Maps Updates Available'.

Does anyone know when v2008 will be available as an upgrade?

A timely call to Garmin may be the answer.

Been to the page to see if there are any map updates available and it says I am up to date.

Would this mean i'm on 2008 maps ?

How do I find out ?

If you proceed you see the following message at the bottom.

**For customers outside the US, you will be responsible for any additional taxes and customs fees.

I'm going to contact Garmin to see what's going on.

Anybody else seen the same message , or have ventured on beyond and Orderd their copy ?

Nope,
I'm still waiting, they said it'll be 6 - 8 weeks but I'm hoping it turns up before then, I hate waiting !
