All you people who were not accepted, YOU ARE NOT WORTHY!!
Of course, I now have to hope that #6 (or #7) holds out until I get the test done and dusted. And thanks for pointing out I get a nice new SD card, that penny hadn't dropped. Ooooh, I do hope it's a nice big one, I've only got 2GB ones.
Do they let you keep the SD card when it's over? I wonder if I could persuade them to send me a 920 to test on the same retention basis. _________________ Dennis

Just to make your Christmas for you, Dennis, I also am not worthy!
Does that make up for me being a girlie who won a GO 720 that works in the PGPSW competition that you also entered, and who was one of the first to successfully download and install the new, free W&CE maps? _________________ Anita

Edited by DennisN to include something you forgot to mention.

• A 2 GB memory card (SD card) (this is the same SD card we send you for the product trial)
• The very latest map, which will be an improved version of the one you will be testing. As soon as it is commercially available, we will make it available to you so you can install it on your new 2 GB card.
I'm looking forward to the testing and getting to keep the 2GB CD card and the very latest maps. |

This is probably the last time I shall comment here on this subject - the test carries a Non Disclosure Agreement which I have every intention of observing. _________________ Dennis

Anyone actually receive the card yet? Hoping mine will be in the mail today; will be driving about 200 miles tomorrow, and would like a chance to try out the "new" map.
Noticed in the "instructions" that the name of the map included "200707 Charleston." Any thoughts on deciphering the naming convention? |

I'm sure I signed up for this trial but to date I've not heard whether I've been accepted or not. Anyone else in the same boat? |

Hhmmm, that's strange, I'm sure I applied to take part in the tomtom research from my gmail address. This afternoon I've found a reply to my hotmail address inviting me to participate in some market research. I'm wondering if this is genuine or a scam. The email sent to my hotmail address appears to have come from someone at brainjuicer.com
Can anyone who has been accepted confirm for me if this is genuine or a scam?
Thanks.

I have not had a reply in any shape or form either which makes me suspicious as to whether it was genuine or not. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt

Thanks. | The acceptance notice came from "Technicaltest" - @ - tomtom.
I have no idea what brainjuicer is, but the name seems to say it all!! _________________ Dennis

Thanks Denis, as I suspected, not the email I'd hoped for. I ended up clicking on the link in the email and it took me through to a series of market research questions for tomtom branding, presumably for their new product which was shown in a series of images provided. |
