I am trying to update GPS Rider I've just bought! Have downloaded updates but am getting an error message 'exist virtual serial port canot open serial port error 14' Running XP pro. If this is a bios setting problem I cannot get into bios as keyboard does not work untill Windows log on screen. Any ideas. |

Is the device USB? I'm guessing it uses a Serial>USB converter so what Com Port is it assigned in Device Manager? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes it is USB, when trying to flash it tries to connect through com1 but can be changed to com2 but get same error message. I will try from another computer tomorrow running Vista. |

The GPS Rider has not had any update facility released yet, you are probably trying to use the Talex update software which is unlikely to work. |

Yes, I was trying to download Talex updates, thanks for that, will have to wait for Rider updates then. Hopefully it will work ok with the Rider drivers installed! |
