|

I seem to recall there's a custom voice somewhere (?) that's quiet, so you can have the TT sound switched on, but only only receive camera warnings (not all the approaching junction announcements), right?
Can some kind soul please reply with a link, as it would be better than nothing?
But what I really want is a hybrid that plays a polite reminder tone to remind me to look at the screen. I'd guess this would need to have all announcements quiet (null) except for the 'polite reminder tone' replacing the 'In xxx yards' announcement(s).
Has anyone got such a file, or have the software already set up to create it easily? I'd guess it would quite an easy one to produce.
I can volunteer the reminder 'tone(s)' as a contributution if anyone's up for it...

Thank you! That's the "silent voice". Anyone up for creating the hybrid one I'm after? |

Here's the simple/"polite" sound I had in mind
http://mobile.my-domain.org.uk/index.php?dir=mp3/Under%202%20sec/&file=Send.mp3
I find passengers often get annoyed by the constant direction voice. I won't have the speed camera warnings silenced, but with NO direction reminders at all I tend to forget to look and miss junctions! So this would seem a good compromise... |

You could try it yourself.
There's a good Tutorial Here.
It will be worth while reading all 4 Steps, but somethings you won't need to do.
If you are happy with the sound you have, just turn it into an OGG File and replicate it 59 times, as per Step 3. _________________ Richard

Yes I saw that. Just wondering if someone already has that all set up, understands the process, and wants to do it. I'd suggest not all the sounds are mapped to a tone. They should all be silent except, perhaps,

Copy and paste helps rather a lot ;-)
I'm not in a postion at the moment to go download the apps I'd need and install them. I'm also running Vista 64 at home and may struggle to get them to work. |
