Is there anyway of bypassing the activation of Tom Tom 2 ?
I've just updated to a Tosh E800 and now can't install on my new machine.
I've only used it on one machine before, but due to a hard reset giving me a DIFFERENT device ID. TomTom still decided to give me an alternate key using my second activation code.
I've posted a question to their web site asking if they can supply me a new activation, but they still haven't responded.
Cheers,
Steve. |

You cannot bypass the activation but you can either call or mail TomTom with the exact details of your story (they are aware that Toshibas change DeviceIDs) and your proof of purchase and then TomTom normally issues you another activation code even though you have already used up the regular ones.
Posting to their web site may not help... _________________ Lutz

Thanks,
Does anyone have the email address where I can contact them directly ?
All I can find on their site is the pointless add a question (Which they don't appear to bother replying to)
Cheers,
Steve. |
