Noticed my Garmin had updated with version 3 of the GPS firmware (this is for the GPS receiver I believe).
Done when I webupdated and it said GPS firmware.
Can't find any reference to it on the Garmin site.
Cant see any change in operation though. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 660 |

I went for the upgrade a few days back, after seeing the thread on gpspassion.
Can't say as I've noticed any difference (C510). |

Look on the bright side, at least the update didn't corrupt the unit, that is where not noticing any change in operation after updating is good! _________________ Garmin Nuvi 660 FM

The update said GPS chipset Type G, does that give a clue to the upgrade?
As for changes can't see any, but as captureboy says - at least it still works! _________________ TomTom Go 60
