If it relies on the SDK then it's not going to work. TomTom withdrew support for applications written by 3rd parties utilising the SDK from v7. _________________ Darren Griffin |

"rousillat" the author of Suntime, announced HERE that the majority of his SDK-based add-ons ARE still working in v7 (although Suntime wasn't specifically mentioned, I think I read elsewhere that it was OK).
Suggest the OP gets in touch with him direct. |

The screen is garbage but the application still works on the device producing the desired screen setting changes when required, this has been reported elsewhere on the forum - Mike |

FYI my GO700 was running Suntime under Navcore 7.16 however The Help Me file was not accesible in Navcore 7.16 if suntime was working. The only way to get the help me file was to remove suntime.
Does anyone know how to get both working correctly??? |

No, Suntime etc use a custom menu file, and using one of those messes up the new menu items in v7 (Help me and Map Corrections). This is all down to TomTom stopping support for their own SDK (software developers' kit) that people had paid a lot of money for. |

you dont need to have the menu, just remove it from sdkregistry , suntime works ok without menu icons, configuration via config.txt |

To get Suntime running using only the config file and also to get the Help Me menu back do the following.
1. Install Suntime as normal
2. Use Windows Explorer to browse the contents of your Tomtom
3. Open the SDKRegistry folder in the root of the Tomtom directory and delete the 2 files in there.
4. Open the Suntime folder and create a new text file in there and rename it to config.txt
5. Open the config.txt file and copy and paste the following into it then save it
[Begin parameters]
language english.lng
period 60
gmtoffset 0
twilight yes
verbose normal
[End parameters]
NOTE: change gmtoffset to the appropriate value if you are not in the UK and also change twilight to no if you want Suntime to switch at exact sunrise and sunset times
6. In the root directory of your Tomtom create a new text file and rename it to cleanup.txt.
7. Open the cleanup.txt file and paste the following into it and save it (this will start Suntime at start-up and in conjunction with the config file above will mean you no longer need the menu facility)
daemon|suntime/suntime|
8. To test it, start Tomtom and change the colour scheme and see if Suntime switches it correctly. |

I'm not sure this is strictly true. I've got both Suntime and Quickam working on my Go300 with v7.16. I have deleted my custom menu file, but icons for both apps appear on page 4 of the Main Menu (as the only two icons on this page). even the Suntime data entry screen appears to be working fine.
However, I don't have a HelpMe icon (though from what I've read elsewhere, I'm not missing much!). Does anyone know if I am likely to be missing any other icons from the Main Menu? My menu structure is reproduced below:
Page 1: Navigate to, Find alternative, TomTom Traffic, Add Favourite, Change preferences.
Page 2: Prepare Route, Browse map, Map corrections, Manage phones, Itinerary planning.
Page 3: TomTom PLUS services, View route, TomTom Weather, Guided tours, Clear route
Page 4: Quick Add Camera, Suntime
Where should the HelpMe icon normally appear? |

and if you dont like suntime in version7 then use daylight which works fantastic in ver7. there is no set up as it uses the gps position in relation to the sun and daylight saving. imho works better than sunlight in ver7
