Help please - Have been using TT1 and found it slow to respond, Is TT2/3 faster and more usable. Maporama is good in Florida but incomplete in the UK. Has any body any comments for which package might be best to purchase for my Ipaq 3970 and GlobalSat bluetooth GPS?
Thanks in anticipation. |

Maporama? Do you mean Mapopolis? THey have newer, more up to date maps for the UK.
Anyhow, you need to tell us more about your preferences before we can advice. "What's the best package?" is not helpful. _________________ Lutz

Silly me - yes I meant Mapopolis. The brain said Mapopolis but the fingers typed the wrong word. Bit of a problem this age thing!
I have been using TT1 which is OK but it is much slower on route finding than Mapopolis. However large chunks of the M11 are missing from Mapopolis which makes navigating in this area a long way off course. I thought I'd get TT2 but really want to know how it compares with Mapopolis. The principle use would be general highway navigation.
Thanks for your interest and help. |

TomTom is much more than Mapopolis. More user friendly and more expensive 8)
Mapopolis have released new maps (you can download them on their side for 10 days), and they use a different map provider (NavTeq). You may want to verify some streets with the new maps. Also get the latest program version (4.41)
If you can spare the money and don't care about a rather geeky UI then you should better go with TomTom... _________________ Lutz
