|

Hello all.
I have used search but have not found answer to problem or not but anyway.
I have a NUVI 310. My friend has a TT ONE which i put the speed cameras of this sit on for him and we were using it for the 100 mile drive to work to check I`d done it correctly.
The question i have was as driving along the road his ONE seemed to just `bong bong bong` at random times. Sometimes at junctions and other times where nothing off or on the road we were travelling on.
Could some one please enlighten me as to what this was as my friend said he had never noticed it before and not sure if I had done something to set this off in his unit.
Thank you for any help. |

Sounds like you've installed the single "all-in-one" file which includes all the fixed cameras and MOBILE SITES in one file.
As the TomTom can only show one icon for each POI file, you have no way of telling what sort of camera or site it is alerting you about. Obviously 99% of MOBILE sites will not be manned at any one time.
The versions of the database which are split up by camera type (or camera type AND speed) are much more useful.
You might find that the PGPSW admin. suggest you DON'T share your copy of the database with other people too. They ban people for things like that! |

I had the same issue after the last update to V7.
I found it was the Speed warning settings to warn if over speed limit. NOT Camera warnings. |

Yes you right , although this doesnt mean your over the limit , i have it set and note the speed errors tomtom has. , not where limits have come down but little 30mph sections acording to tomtom which are at the national speed limit. What annoys me even more is even if you do report it and correct it on your own tomtom data base next time you go down the same section you still get alarms again |

That is because it is part of the map data and you can't change that even on your own device. You can only hope that TomTom will correct it on the next updated map release. _________________ Graham.

Are you saying that you used your account to provide FREE cameras for a friend who doesn't have an account, and then complain because you have a problem? Bit of a cheek really to ask for help isn't it? _________________ Regards

OK. MAD-OL has been told once already. I'm sure it's an honest mistake and we'll leave it at that. Hopefully MAD-OL's friend will get his / her own subscription once the problem is solved. |
