Backing Up New Tom Tom 720

Currently have Tom Tom 300.Have just bought an additionalTom Tom 720 for family.
Are there any precautions needed BEFORE connecting TT720 to PC/HOME..i.e. Will any existing TT300 backup data be overwritten when I back up the 720?

And..

I wish to use the PGPSW Camera database on the 720.Will I need to delete any existing tom tom POI data BEFORE downloading from PGPSW.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Welcome to the forum, I would start by having a read through some of the FAQ's which can be found Here specifically look at the way to back up the device using Windows Explorer (it is more reliable), also removal of the TomTom speed camera database is also listed. You don't have to take them off, but doing so will avoid the double warnings you might get if left on the device.

For connection to Home you will need to use a second e-mail address to register your new device, this is part of the "security" system - Mike

How do you make the "HERE" a difrferent colour. I tried it again in another question, wrote the answer in black, changed it to red, wrote it, (red ((/) etc came up, but it came out black still.

Thanks for the help, Andy, the HERE above, has been black all evening, at least on my PC, just been back to the page and it is showing red, so it looks like it was my PC not showing the colour initially for some reason.

I find the easy way is to select the link text so it is all highlighted then use the "Font Colour" box above to change it to red:

Note the ( and ) should be altered to [ and ] for the forum code to pick up what you are intending to do - Mike

Mike, as Andy said above, the link text HERE comes out red by default, no need to insert the colour change. I insert the bold code, partly because the default is also a smaller size text and bold makes it easier to see.
