|
|
Hi
PLease can someone help. I recently had a major problem with my iCN 520 which thankfully Navman phoned me to re-set.
My problem is the voices, I now only have US male and female, before the unit was re-set I had UK male and female.
It is not often I use the voice navigation, but when I do I find the US female anoying, telling me to take the second exit at the TRAFFIC CIRCLE.
I want to hear the UK voice tell me I need to take the secon exit at the roundabout.
I am off to France soon and don't think I will make it down South listening to US female all of the way.
Any ideas where I can download or get the UK female voice.
Please, please help me!!

See pages 18/19 of your iCN510/520 Manual. If you have not got one, you can download one in pdf from the Navman web site. here

hendey76@yahoo.co.uk thanks. |
According to another Forum, where a technical response from Navman has been posted, the following is how you deal with your problem. I offer it without responsibility, but I believe it is correct. Your problem has been a common one as reported in this forum following a software update last year.

Go to the Main menu -; preferences -; more preferences -; startup -; tick language -; save. Soft reset the device and select UK from the selection screen.
If that does not work, connect your iCN to the PC. Double click My Computer -; mobile device and delete the backup folder. Soft reset the device. Run the Navman desktop and reinstall the software.
If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us, we'll be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,

All sorted now.
I found the zip file and just copy and pasted the UK language on to memory card.
Easy when you know how

What happens when you swap the memory card I have three cards with different regions of Europe on each one. _________________ Gee-Pee

What part of the above do you not understand? Try the simple (1) (first) solution first. Come back if that does not help. _________________ Gee-Pee
