Hello, I'm new here and a Tom Tom novice.
I'm looking for some help please.
I have a 510 and have had it for around 6 months. Home version 2.1 and Windows XP
On Friday evening I purchased a new GB and Ireland map, I did this without research and only because I thought it would be an updated map and also I thought it was cheap at £29.95.
I cannot download it, every time I try I get the message "internel sever error". I have just noticed on my invoice the map version is v710.
Have Iordered the wrong version should it be v510 ?

v710 is the latest version of the maps (previous ones were 705, 675, 660, 650 - it's not tagged to your device number).
There seems to have suddenly developed a real issue over this Server Error report. Try a Search if you want to know more - whatever, it seems to be a fault at the TomTom end. I know nothing about it myself, but I suggest you phone TomTom tomorrow morning - UK phone is 0845 161 0009, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:30 GMT. Get together all your information - order number, your device model, Product code, serial number, Application version. Get every bit of information you can as the first response from TT is usually to put you on the back foot by inferring it's all your fault, asking if you've updated your software, your TT Home version, your blood group, mother's maiden name, the lot!! They'll probably also suggest you switch off your Firewall and Anti Virus - best tell them that's not a good idea! Monday morning will probably be busy after all those people waiting all weekend to phone in. _________________ Dennis
