|
|
I am trying to test my recent acquisition which comprises an Ipaq 2210 with CoPilot Live and Bluetooth Coplilot GPS.
I have loaded all software and every thing is up and running.
I am trying to test the navigation software but keep getting a message to say that there is no GPS signal.
I have waited between 5 and 10 mins to allow sat detection but cannot get a signal.
I am using the kit indoors is this why I get no signal?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks |

Er, yes! GPS is line of sight, it's not like GSM. Go stand outside for 15 mins and you should get a fix. |

Tested kit today in car all checked out ok!
One final question: the Copilot Live GPS kit has abysmal instructions for use and I would like to know if I can charge the GPS unit when out of the car on a normal charger , rather than the incar charger. Can I use the one that comes with the Ipod or would I need an after market one?
Aside from this I am a happy bunny thanks to the wealth of information on this Forum and all the help I have received from members to date.
A big thank you to all who have responded to my posts. |

No, use your iPAQ charger, this will charge it. |
