I used ot have a Samsung D600 phone which worked great with my Go 500 when used hands-free via Bluetooth.

I've now upgraded the phone to a Nokia N95, it seems to have (finallay) paired OK with the Go and I can initiate calls from the TomTom touch screen, but there is no sound from the TomTom, only from the phone (not sure about the microphone, but I assume it's the phone also)

How can I get the TomTom to be the speaker & mike (like it was when I used the D600)?

Thanks for any help

Hi Naz,

Is the N95 listed on the TT site as compatible with the Go500? I haven't checked but I have a feeling it isn't listed whereas I believe the D600 is. If I am right then this could be the problem. Some features may not work correctly or at all. I had a problem with a corrupted contacts file in my Go500 when I loaded the contacts from my Samsung D840. I also had endless problems trying to establish a wireless connection and eventually gave up.

I suggest you check the TT site for compatability & then take it from there. As a last resort you could always ask TT Laughing

Cheers, I've now found a workaround.

I believe it's an N95 issue as I've managed to find similar problems reported with other bluetooth devices. It turns out that the speaker/mike will work the first time the device is connected, but not subsequently.

The workaround is to deauthorise the N95 so that when the TomTom tries to pair with it, the N95 prompts for you to approve every time.

It means I have to do this each time I get in the car & want to use the two devices together, but it's not too big a deal.

There is speculation that this will be fixed in a future N95 firmware update even if TomTom don't add the phone to their list

Cheers
