Hi all
i have got a kenwood dnx7200.
i have loaded the camera poi's (the csv set) onto the 7200 and set the audio and visual options to on. (for poi alerting)
i am having real problems with the alerts from the speed cameras beeping more than once when getting to a camera. its not the overspeed continual beep but the proximity bing bong which bing bongs more than once for the same camera.
i have definately only loaded one set of cameras so i dont have repeats for ech camera.
eg.
today on my way past a mobile camera i received 3 bing bongs before i reached the camera location. on the way home past the same camera i only received one bing bong?
does anyone know how to fix my prob?
also how can i get the proximity warning distance to change. using the manual mode in the poi loader seems not to change anything. (im using the latest version from garmins web site). can these not be chnaged in the file liek the speed alert setting can?
cheers

ok today i drove past 2 speed cameras and got no alert at all for either? drove past a third and got 1 nice bing bong.
all three appear on the map and checking the info for each of the cameras they all have speed and proximity settings?
i dont have a route set but am just watching the journey on the map screen?
Anyone? |

Probably down to the speed at which you approached the cameras, if you are above the limit you get a warning, if not the software will remain silent if its Garmin based (which it looks like) - Mike |

hi mike
yes its a garmin product
so a proximity alert will only sound when approaching the camera if your speed is above the limit?
i would have thought the logical thing is a proximity alert sounds when you approach teh camera and if you are abouve the limit you get continual alerts? is this not the case?
thanks
