I have a problem opening the downloaded speed camera database.
When I click on the downloaded file to open it the window it opens in opens and closes very rapidly and goes on doing so for 5mns or more. When it eventually stabilises by closing there is an error message saying something like file to long.
I am running Windows Vista 64bit other downloaded files open ok.
Anyone know why? |

It has just taken me a number of attempts at downloading before I finally got my first file. If you are using Firefox, which I do, switch to IE and all should be sorted. |

Is that just in Vista, crowvalley?
Downloads work fine with Firefox for me on XP.
It's likely to be a firewall issue, I reckon... |

No, I am running Firefox on XP Pro on my laptop and I had at least 6 goes before switching to IE. I clicked on the link using Firefox and got transferred to to the next page to click a link for the database information, no download though.
It worked first time Using IE. I will try on my desktop next time which is running 64x XP Pro and see what happens with firefox. Methinks Vista is a no no until at least SP1 is released. |

Try right-clicking the file and selecting open. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Right clicking didn't help.
I use internet explorer.
The error message is
File name or extension is to long
I will try disabling the firewall

I thought it was just the pgpsw camera files but it turned out to be all files.
The problem must be in internet explorer and the way it handles zip files,I have worked round it by using winzip.
Thanks for the help |
