Hi everyone. I have been lurking for a while and everyone here has been very helpful to me alreay (albeit indirectly) so thanks!
I bought a h1945/BT fortuna clip on recently but experienced problems with tomtom crashing after switching the power off. Figuring it was some sort of bluetooth problem I re-flashed the h1945 with the updated BIOS as it had some bluetooth fixes but now I can't get the clip on to pick up any sattelites at all! I have re-flashed and re-installed tomtom many times since but it's no good.
Whilst it was working the settings were (I think) com port 8/sirf bluetooth driver. Since the problems started com port 8 isn't an option any more, but port 5 shows up twice on the list! Has anyone experienced this before? I don't want to buy all the gear again as its only been in use for a couple of weeks
Any help would be most appreciated, thanks |

have you done a hard reset after the reflash? It's highly recommended, even though you have to reinstall everything _________________ Lutz

Yes I tried that many times but to no avail!
In the end I found that the new tomtom GPS driver was causing the problem and reinstalling the tomtom with the standard GPS driver worked.
Good thing I found out now as I doubt TT3 will work on my setup since this will probably need the new GPS driver |

No, TomTOm 3 does not need the new GPS driver. It can also work with older GPS driver versions like 2.06 etc. The driver versions after that make only sense for devices where the BT stack is not connection automatically to the receiver, and even that can be fixed with the registry hack. POcketPC2002 machines run best with the 2.06 or 2.07 driver anyhow. _________________ Lutz
