Does anyone know whether a cardo scala rider would work with a TomTom rider for picking up the voice instructions?
Only I'm not too impressed with the riders supplied bluetooth headset in terms of durability or battery life, bluetooth is bluetooth after all but would the rider hook up to it and vice versa. |

The manual looks like it simply makes a standard bluetooth connection so the Scala Rider should work fine. ( I use one with the GPS system and they are great).
Extract from manual:
If you did not establish a Bluetooth connection between your Bluetooth headset module and your TomTom RIDER when you first turned your TomTom RIDER on, you can establish the connection at any time. From the main menu, tap Change Preferences. Tap the arrow twice to open the third preferences menu. Tap Connect to headset and follow the instructions to establish the connection. |

I can not get my Cardo Scala Rider headset to connect with my TT Rider v1. I am not using a phone I just want the Navigation prompts etc.
I have tried switching the Cardo Scala until the Red & Blue lights rapidly flash alternately for approx 2 mins but the tomtom rider still says "No Headset connected"
Can anyone help please. |

Thanks Noony.
reading the forums gave me ideas. I have now succeded as follows;
As a matter of interest I had to go into the TT Rider menu where there is an
Icon "Connect Headset"
On clicking this you are asked if you wish to connect the "Tomtom Headset"
On the version 1 Rider you have to answer NO.( As the tomtom headset is the old type supplied with the v1 Rider).
It then starts looking for other headsets at which you then switch on the
Cardo Scala Bluetooth Headset to pair it with the Rider Sat Nav.
The connection is then made.
Thanks again. |
