|
|
just bought a ONE XL for my mother. Seems like a good machine and an improvement on y GO, but ...... how do we cancel a planned route? In my Go there is a botton on the first screen you go into, but on the ONE XL this has been replaced by a TOMTOM TRAFFIC button. I appreciate that a new route will cancel the old, but if we just want the device on for speedd cameras, but don't want endless directions, then ....
help please!

I think you'll find the default menu does not have all options activated. Scroll through the preferences menu until you see the "SHOW ALL MENU OPTIONS" icon. Press it and that should be you..
Oh and I should have said......WELCOME TO THE FORUMS !!! _________________ Tommo...

I'm not in a position to try that solution for 24 hrs or so, but i really thought I had already enabled all menu options. If anyone has a ONE XL or something running the same software I'd be grateful for confirmation that this is the problem. |

As 999tommo suggests
Select 'SHOW ALL MENU OPTIONS' in the preferences menu.
The 'Clear route' option should now be available on the third screen of the main menu. |

The other way to do it without switching on all the extra options that your Mum does not want is to "navigate to" a place far away, and while the TomTom is calculating press the cancel button.
Cheers
