Hi
I got one of these the other days so assume it has all the new maps etc. However when you plug into docking systems to download updates in Map Share it seems like there are no updates. All there was today was a 0.2mb file which can hardly contain any info.
On the Tom tom device i selected trusted users, tom tom verified etc. Also there did not seem to be many Points of Interests changes.
Can anyone let me know how they have been getting on and also why does the updates not say what it contains. e.g. 10 road name changes, 2 cul de sac added etc ??? |

Best not start another thread on this. If you type Mapshare into the Search page, you'll get quite a bunch of threads to keep you going. _________________ Dennis

I type map share into search and it displays 300 odd pages. However nothing on the first page has any answers to the question. When i click page 2 onwards it comes up with errors.
Can you point me to a link with the answer.
It has the latest version maps and share maps work. It just dont seem theres many updates. ? |

If I go to the Search page - put "Mapshare" in "search" box, select "TomTom Go/Rider/One" in "Forum" drop-down box... It gives me 126 matches. I don't get any errors on any of the ones I clicked on.
There is one (about 19th down) called "How big are Mapshare files?" which should answer one of your specific questions - they are very small files.
But there is plenty of discussion about it already in the other threads which you could add to, so as Dennis says, please lets not start it all over again.... |

xda gave you just one link, but using Search really will give you loads of them.
I'm locking this thread now to save it going on. _________________ Dennis
