I've seen several on-line dealers quoting Nov 9 for in-stock. That's North American version anyway.
ETA: that comment above is about the 750 - the one I want. It looks like the much more expensive 760 is already out in the stores. |

I've looked and I've looked but I can't find the Nuvi 760 in the UK. Will it ever be on sale

Agreed, had one for Xmas, you are correct - looks very good.
Would you know if it’s possible to show speed + map as opposed to Arrival time + map. When not navigating a route i.e. just the map, then Speed is shown, but enroute only Arrival time is available. Pressing the Arrival icon reveals the trip log, but then the map is lost.
Also, having had various Navman units, in comparison it seems the 770 is not as effective a taking the “natural” route. Navman were good at picking the natural route. It seems there's a “left turn” bias that occasionally kicks in. Had one instance at traffic lights asking to turn left, right and left again, all that was needed was to go straight ahead – bizarre!
Would be interested if you have had similar experiences or can offer help on the Speed display question… |

| When driving without a route, I note that the Nuvi 750 shows speed and direction in the data boxes at the bottom instead of arrival time and distnce to next turn. |
